MW - baby's position - Page 2

My midwife started checking his position at 32 weeks. She said that when they had a policy of doing it earlier, women used to spend weeks panicing and worrying if their babies were breech (which is fair enough; we had a 4d scan at 28 weeks, were told he was breech, and to be honest it really did concern me...!) I think it only becomes a matter of 'concern' for then if the baby isn't head down by 36 weeks...

Mine hasn't checked either yet....think we have a little bit of time yet though.

When does the midwife check our weight gain and check for healthy baby size?
A friend of mine at work is due 3 days after me and is much bigger than me...my bump is still very little! Hope my chap is healthy.

Mine started checking when she started listening for the heartbeat.
It wasn't "checking" to see if she was in the "right" position but she did start noting it down quite early.

She also felt for babys head so that daddy could have a feel

I think my mw is great - she always tries getting dad involved at my apps

i was breech at 28 weeks but now babys head is down

i have a different midwife every week as my main one goes on holiday alot *Usless*
