Hey sweeite do you have Super Ventricual Tachycardia? Thats what I have. Its when your SA node in your heart doesnt work properly and causes spontatneous "attacks" on the ventriulars of the heart.

Are you on medication for it? Have you tried any manual manveuers.....like rubbing your carotid areteries to slow it down..?

I take Toprol 50mg twice a day....its Class D in pregnancy so it really sucks that I take it....but they watch baby very closely. IF i wouldnt take my meds my heart rate has gone over 250...VERY scary i know. This drug i take keeps it at round 85bpm and about 110 when i'm pregnant.

How long have you had this? have you thought about a cardiac Ablation? If you want to have more children i recomend seeing a cardiologist to discuss this minor surgery. I'm sure they have told you that its common for this condition to act up while your pregnant.

I'm sorry your going through this and i know its very hard/scary and painful. My babies have been born 10wks early due to this condition.

Good luck and don't worry doctors wouldnt do whats necessary if the benifits didnt outweigh the risk.

Believe it or not these little guys can take alot! Hang in there babe. If you have any questions feel free to pm me. I'm a cardiac nurse as well as I am dealing with the same thing.

Gabrielle xx

Just read that you've had the minor surgeries that I'm talking about. I know sometimes they dont work. They should most def put you on a beta blocker.

HI there! yes it was Super Ventricual Tachycardia? I was told that at age 5 but they now say this is the type of it. I was on 2 tablets last pregnancy (atenanol and flacinade acetate) not spelpt right. I think the atenanol was the problem last time and was the blame of my son being small (well part of it)where as the other one im just on now. Ive had 2 ablations that where deemed a sucess but nope they wherent worth a try tho.

When i was preggers last time it seemed to cure and i had np probs so this is the 1st time in 3 years that ive had to have it stopped.

Where u induced? Or did the los come naturaly?

Hey. I'm sorry you've had to go through two ablations and they havent worked! That's surprising! My sister had one done and it didnt work for her either. thats why i'm hesitant to even attempt it.
Atenanol ...Yes was probly the reason for your baby being too small. So are you on anything this time around? Lopressor seems to be the safest one but doesnt work for me.

No i wasnt induced...Toprol causes the placenta to deterioate so i lost all my fluid at 29wks. I went into perterm labor so my doctor took the baby out by csection. The bagged was plastered to his face.. I will be induced this time around if i make it far enough. I have to take the drug which really sucks but what else would i do?? Ya know.

I hope that it says away for the rest of your pregnancy.....! Good luck..and do they have any plans for you regarding this or after pregnancy? A pacemaker would probably be the best idea if the abaltion hasnt worked. Good luck!
