Pains in uterus - wondering if its early labour UPDATED Pains r gone

although it wasnt that long ago i cant really remember early labour - but this past few hours i've been having pains across my bump, cramps like period pains and they extend down into my hips and back......

does this sound like early labour? the pains are pretty infrequent and not really getting any worse but they just dont feel like BH as my BH have been mostly like period cramps....

i am confused!!

**Update**

Managed to get to sleep last night and woke up this morning with no pains at all, think it's just been BH which have been very strong. Boooo! Won't do baby any harm to cook in there for a little while longer.

It sounds like it might be hun , you should call your doc .

Oh could be ...if its something unusal and concerning (which it obviously is) you should call the MW on duty at the labour ward hun esspecially so early.

I am aware (as in I have read) that this can happen and nothing start for weeks but when Mum is worried and anxious you should definately seek some advice.

could be hun or it could be your BH just getting stronger, i had a few false alarms with number 2 cos the BH got that strong in the few weeks leading up to the birth that i wondered loads of times if that was the start, i'm thinking its gonna start even earlier this time, ring your mw or labour ward if your unsure thats what they are there for xxx
