mixed pregnancy test results!!!!!

hi everyone

im new to this site today, where do i start here goes

my last period was 23 september and now 2 weeks late,
i did a test at 7 days late with a negative result and that night i started to have a little pink blood when i wiped and then was brown and it lasted for about 2 and half days, which i think may be implantation bleeding!
then 11 days late i tested again and got a very faint positve then next morning got a negative then in that afternoon got a faint posative.

i tested today and got another negative!! what is going on, my stomach feels bloated and felling a bit sick a few times a day and dont now if im pregnant or not but think i may be addicted to pregnancy tests,

i did read if even if you get a faint possative means your pregnant but why so many negative,
please your help would be very appereciated

x x

Hi Dora78,
How frustrating for you! Are your periods normally regular? The bleeding sounds like it could have been implantation bleeding but then it's strange that you're only getting very faint BFPs. I've read that faint ones tend to be chemical pregnancies, but I think you'd have seen your period by now if that was the case.
What about seeing your doctor? I have very little experience of pregnancy tests - somebody else might know how much more sensitive one test might be than another. Fingers crossed that it is a BFP, but at the same time try not to get your hopes up too much in case you end up with a crushing disappointment. Sorry if that sounds like total shit - I know it's nigh-on impossible not to think about it; we've been trying for our 2nd since November last year...

I think implantation bleeds usually happen a bit earlier than 7 days late. Have you tried a digital pregnancy test? There is no faint positive with those, so maybe try one of those. Maybe your HCG levels are not high enough yet to get a positive consistantly?! - Maybe you ovulated later than you thought and you are only just pregnant and maybe that was then an implantation bleed???

Just a few thoughts, but all you can really do is wait a little longer and see what happens. One way or another you'll get a symptom that will tell you for sure!

If you used all different brands of tests you could have got different results. Some are more sensitive than others you see. And, even tests in the same box may be slightly more or less sensitive than the others.

It could have been implantation bleeding, but if it was it means that your period isn't late, but rather your ovulation was late, making your period come later, but not "late" - if you see what i mean?

Did you read the results within ten minutes? You need to disregard all results after that time because they can be false positives called evaps (when the pee evapourates from the test leaving a line that's not a true positive).

I read on the back of preg tests that any line (no matter how faint) is a positive!
