Ok im 9 to 10 weeks pregnant i thought i would do a little test,as i know most people wonder about the whole opks as hpts and heres some proof that they do work as hpt's.
Ok the top one is the HPT and the bottom one is the OPK

I found OPKs would never tell me before the HPTs did though!

Congratulations on your BFP!

I just took myself off and did an OPK as I have no HPT's in until tomorrow...it WAS a CB Smiley mind so don't know if that makes a difference? It was negative. Hmmph lol

heh heh baby buffy I have also been regularly poas on opks since finding out 'in the nam of sicience'!!!!
I think maybe your poas habbit may be similar to mine.....

Still wouldnt advise using OPKs as HPTs as they can be VERY misleading

lots of people get lines on OPK's no matter where they are in their cycles and it defo doesnt mean they are pregnant

I see ladies building their hopes up and getting them smashed every single month because of this

if you are already pregnant and fancy POAS for fun then thats fine

My advice to TTCers is save them for detecting ovulation & save yourself the heart ache coz you'd defo get a +HPT earlier than you'd get a +OPK if you were pregnant (HPT's detect smaller amounts so are more sensitive) x
