Huge Appetite at 18 weeks!


Hello, im 18 weeks tommorow and having a raging appetite ! I still cant eat foods that i went of in the 1st trimester...but i cant stop eating sweets but i never eat sweets ! Any one else's appetite increased? is it normal?

Hi, yep mine has. In the first trimester i found it hard to keep food down. In the past week i just wanna eat everything in sight I woke up this morning starving for doughnuts. Not that ive had one, but really want one I always want to eat food like mash potatoes lately and doughnuts mmmmm
Im eating so much lately im gonna turn into a house....

Yep I have been going through this, though it seems to be better some days, I just want to eat all the time, Im just trying to eat little and often, take care XX

Goig mad for carbs, putting too much weight on (8lbs when I hsould have put on about 4). Eating lots, loving it. Every time I read a post that mentions food, I immediately want it!

I'm like a bottomless pit I assure you, I've only put on 2lb's though

Mine is crisps and toast for some reason

Some days I cannot get enough food, some days I don't want anything.
But of course, at 26 weeks, my meals have gotten a lot smaller because my stomach can no longer handle what I used to eat.

Hubby always said I ate more than he did... which I know I did.
But now, it's the opposite.

My addiction: Egg noodles, butter, salt/pepper and tuna!!!
Oh so good... sometimes I'll even through in a can of stewed tomatoes.

I have seriously eaten nothing but cheese toasties since i hit 17 weeks lol!! In 1st tri i ate so many mashed potatoes my DH thought i was mad hehe I was having them for breakfast! I've only put on 3lbs tho and i'm 19+1 was a bit worried but i've been eating much better this past week and weight still hasnt gone up, got a healthy little bump must be losing it from elsewhere?? Oh and strawberries.. i was walking round Asda with 2 big punets, YUM, and sniffing them all the way round.. people think i'm crazeeeee hehe xx

oh ps i was told we should crave carbs it's a healthy craving as the baby tells us we want carbs for energy .. so my midwife said xx

That is good news cos I have been mad for baked potatoes since my !!!

I love sweets now too and normally don't like sweet things at all!
