We had a bump about 7 weeks ago. - oh collided with a truck!! Me in the front and our just three year old in the back. although the car didnt roll and we hit side to side rather than head on. I didnt go to hospital as baby was moving around and i heard heatbeat ok on the doppler.

Firstly I am so glad to hear that you are all ok! How scary for you all. In the book, "what to expect when you're expecting", it said that your baby has a great cushioning system to withstand trauma. That being said I would want a proper ultrasound to see that baby is all okay and that its surrounds are fine as well and there has been no trauma.

Keep us updated.

hi lottie! congrats on the baby what a cutie!! i am new here and 20 weeks preggers.. got into a car accident on sunday and am worried sick. I noticed that you had a placental abruption and i was wondering was it related to the car accident? I am very worried about this after my accident. You are very luck that you and LO made it through because i know not everybody is so lucky with an abruption. Thanks for your help i am so worried and crying all the time your advice would help a great deal.

I was in a car accident when a drunk driver hit me at around 5 months pregnant with my son. I went to the hospital and they checked the baby and everything was fine, sent me home and that was pretty much it :/
