Dreaming of Gender. STRANGENESS! And other gender topics.

So since I have found out I am pregnant, I have had TONS of dreams about finding the gender of the baby. Maybe 5 or 6 about it being a boy and 4 or 5 about it being a girl.

In the last dream they showed me the baby boy-bits on the ultrasound and my OH was really upset because he wants a girl, and the nurse told me If I walked alot I could grind the boy-bits down and get a girl instead.

The dream I had before that when the ultrasound came up, his boy-bits were as big as the baby! I guess because I'm worried about not being able to see if it's a boy or girl.

My US is on the 3rd of February. If I decide I want a girl then I prepare my mind for a boy, and once it;s prepared I want a boy so I prepare for a girl, then I want a girl again! I can't even decide what I want, let along have "mommy feelings" of what the gender actually is. OH wants a girl really bad though. Soooo

What do you want? Blue or Pink?
If you already know, did you get what you want?
Did it matter if you didn't get what you want?
What should I do to ensure they see the baby's bits on the 3rd?
Crazy dreams about gender?
Did you just know your baby was going to be a boy/girl?
Will my OH be OK if it's a boy?
(he is so damn sure it's going to be a girl!)

I had constant dreams about having a boy....... and im having a girl, saw her 3 lady lines as clear as day on the U/S.

I didn't mind what gender my baby was because for me it wasn an important factor.

My OH was a bit dissapointed we were having a girl as hes a lone child and obviously could relate better to a boy but now hes cooing over girls things and hes over the moon to be having a daughter.

Of course you go through the whole i think its a boy/ girl stage but tbh i thought girl at first and then i thought boy. Theres no way of knowing really apart from U/S as there will always be that 50%50 chance x

You're so cute! LOL.......

I think secretly I want a girl. I just want to get her all prettied up, pierce her ears, put her in all pink.... that kind of stuff. But I'd like a boy cuz it's easier for them going thru their teen years...blah blah blah...... So, I don't know what I would rather have... but I think subconsciously I'd like a girl.

DH is CONVINCED that we're having a boy. Everyone is telling me that I'm having a boy. My mom is the only person who says I'm havinga girl. I guess we'll find out on Wednesday though..... I can't wait!!

As for your OH....... He'll be FINE if it's a boy!!! I mean, maybe there will be a little dissapointment inside, but it's a baby that both of you made, he's going to love your little one regardless

Both the hubby and I have had dreams that we are having a girl... but my appetite is HUGE and i have been told that boys make you hungrier... i think i too, secretly, would love to have a little girl, but as long as it is healthy and strong it doesnt matter to me a bit what parts they have... of course the hubbs would love a boy, but he says the same thing, as long as its healthy. either way, it will be loved!

Right from day 1 have had the feeling i am having a girl this time, had the same with ds, well boy feeling obv, and was right. Actually a few months after ds was born was going to have tubes tied, and about a week before appt i had this feeling hit me like a shovel in the face, anyway, my feeling was that we were meant to have 2 children, a boy and a girl, it even came to my what she was to be called. DH feels we are having a girl this time too, and has told me when she will be born and how much she'll weigh, he said the same with ds and was spot on down to the last oz. I have had dreams where i have seen her, not just a baby girl, my baby girl, it's a recurring dream, but weird thing is first night i had the dream i also dreamt that MIL walked into docs while we waiting to get ds jabs done (Me and hub by hate MIL and have estranged ourselves from her) anyway we went for the jabs, and sod me, she walks into the bloody waiting room! This kinda made me more sure if that was at poss. If me and hubby are wrong we won't be gutted we'll be over the moon to have another gorgeous, healthy baby boy, well either way, boy or girl, we'll be head over heels xxx

Since i got pregnant i had loads of dreams it was a girl and only one that it was a boy. I had names picked out and i kept seeing the girl name everywhere. I even had all symptoms for a girl and my hubby was really made up because that was what he wanted.

20 week scan came along and everything that had been predicted was wrong and my baby is a boy. I kind off had my hopes built up for a girl because of all the signs and had prepared myself for a girl so was shocked when it was a boy. But i wouldnt change him and im madly in love with him. If someone said i could have a girl instead, i wouldnt.

And as for my hubby. I thought he would be really disappointed that it wasnt a girl but he was in fact over the moon and loves the fact that its a boy. He's actually really proud and we both cant wait till he arrives.

At the end of the day it doesnt matter what the sex is as long as it is healthy and whatever the sex, that baby will bring you so much joy. Keep open minded because feeling disappointed makes you feel guilty and like a bad mum. Just enjoy being pregnant and shopping for either girl or boy clothes. That is the really fun part.

What do you want? Blue or Pink?-I don't mind one bit, just the sonographer telling me everything was healthy was the most important part for me.

If you already know, did you get what you want?-I had no wishes either way tbh, this will be my third boy and I am chuffed to bits and bonding with him now.My other two boys are over the moon,LOL

Did it matter if you didn't get what you want?-No because I had no strong urges either way. After losing two babies I was more worried about me getting through each stage with baby ok.

What should I do to ensure they see the baby's bits on the 3rd?-There is no guarantees they will be able to see anything,if baby doesn't want to play ball there isn't much they can do!Something sugary will help he/she be alert and hopefully bounce around My sonographer prodded my tummy to get baby moving to see if he could spot the sex
Crazy dreams about gender?-I dreamt I had a little boy and could picture him after he was born ,it was the best dream ever.

Did you just know your baby was going to be a boy/girl?-I had a strong feeling with all 3 that they would be boys, just a gut feeling I can't explain.

Will my OH be OK if it's a boy? -Yes!The moment he sees and holds his child he will be in love, all his thoughts of what he thought he wanted will be gone. Its his baby and he will fall in love
(he is so damn sure it's going to be a girl!)

Great post btw, relax and enjoy it all

I keep having v strange dreams abt having a boy. both me and DH have said we'd like a girl but would also be happy to have a boy- as long as everything ok it doesnt matter except in my dreams i keep having aboy and i don't like him/ am really dissapointed so i keep trying to leave him places! it makes me feel reall bad when i wake up! i'm getting quite scared i might secretly be really dissapointed when if i find out its a boy- i didn't think i wanted a girl that much!! i've also had dreams abt the boy being massive (like a toddler), or walking as soon as he's born and having loads of teeth (not just growing out of his gums also growing out og his cheeks n roof of mouth) it all v strange! we have our scan on feb 17th so can find out for sure and hopefully stop having having these weird dreams!

i really wanted a girl and from Day 1 i thought it was a girl, all the symptons and cravings pointed to a girl, but the night before the scan i had a dream that it was going to be a boy, the dream kept recurring aswell. i found out the next day that i am going to have a boy and i am chuffed to bits! eve though i originally wanted a girl i am the happiest person alive that everything is ok and perfect. xx
