round ligament pain?

hello ladies! im about 18 wks pregnant and the past few days ive had this horrible pain. it goes from my thigh crease and up my groin on my right side. when i stand up and move around its unbearable! it feels like a charlie horse in my groin! called doc they told me its round ligament pain.... but i dont know how im going to be able to work and everything in this amount of pain! has neone else had this? how long did it last? any relief tips? thanks so much for listening to my rant!

I too am 18 weeks and I woke up with this yesterday morning and it is still there now, it's like a pulsating kind of pain, right in the crease of my leg and lower abdomen. I actually came on here to post about this and to ask if it is round ligament pain, so I'm glad you posted

It isn't very nice.....

I had round ligament pain at 18 weeks as well. It was so unbearable when standing up and walking around, that I could barely move. It was a sharp pain that went from the center of my pelvic area around my pelvic area into my hips. Brutal discomfort.

I found that laying down with a pillow between my knees or sitting down helped. But unfortunately, take it to heart, its a good sign. Your body is adapting to your growing uterus, making your ligaments more flexible, which will help during labour and birth.

And by the way, you still get it at 23 weeks although not as intense.

I've had the round ligament for the last few weeks - I'm almost 22 weeks right now. Sorry for the bad news lol.
