housing

so i finally did it i grew some balls and went and signed on to the local housing reg, god i almost pooed my pants i felt like i was being interigated currently in Band 4 but will be moved up to Band 2 once my mum kicks me out or i have the baby..

i really did not want to do this but was having no luck with private since both me and oh are under 21

but i still dont think the housing system works by what i saw while i was there someone living in a room no bigger than a walk in cupboard was put in Band 4, i mean i can understand why i am there but he has a Fiance and baby on the way and there living in a tiny room..

but i just thought id share my news lol As long as its a one bedroom property i get i really dont care right now as long as we have our own space for us and baby till he needs his own room

Howcome your having problems with private renting as your both under 21?

Surely if you have references and gaurantures(sp?) then your find?

Oh babe thats so awful! It's not like that here luckily...but doesnt help you

We went to our council, and they said they wouldnt house us until the baby was born and would just put us in a hostel, which is not ok.

We have no choice but to private rent. We're having OH's parents sign as our garentor thingy. So hopefully we'll be ok

thats what i dont get its not like if they checked his parents that they could not afford it they own there own 4bedroom house and almost all his family own there own homes and holiday homes but yet they still say no 21!! GRRR asholes lol

well band 4 means im not in a rush but as soon as my mum writes a letter saying the date she is kicking me out i move up to band 2 as treathend homeless and i will get a 1bedroom place atlest till baby is here then moved to a 2bedroom but band 4 is anything up to about 3years for a property

Im glad you are on the list at least and hope you don't have to wait too long to get a place of your own, I think the system is all wrong really and the way they work things out makes no sense. Take care XX
