having panic attacks

i'm 24 weeks pregnant and i don't really know what to do with myself! I've been having panic attacks for a couple of weeks but the last week has been really hard as it is making me cry lots. I'm worried that i'm affecting the baby with all my ups and downs. I had them years ago and they went, i used herbal remedies then but i feel like i can't use them now. i just feel trapped and scared. i'm presuming my anxiousness stems from being scared about having a baby but any advice would be helpful.

The only panic i have suffered is because im emetophobic and im pregnant in the middle of noro season! (phobia of vomiting)........... I cant really advise. But it may be helpful to you to speak to your gp.. Im sure your buba is fine. Im 24 weeks today, whats your due date.
Welcome to Bnb btw!

i think panic attacks are much more common during pregnancy, especially with all those blinking hormones wizzing around!

Ive had about 3 now, and ive never had them before. My DH calms me down as he is so worried about it affecting bubs. Im sure its not good for them, but as long as we come out of it, all should be fine.

Hope you get sorted hun x

I have panic attacks and the only advice I can give you is to try to avoid the situations that you find yourself in whilst you are having them. If that isn't possile then please speak to your midwife.

I hope you get the help that you need sweetie.

x

I suffered panic attacks after the birth of my last child, I didnt actually realise when they first started that thats what they were I really thought i was dying or at the least very mentally ill! the best advice I can give is to make as much time as you can for yourself to RELAX! it really makes a difference, if your struggling to do that maybe try yoga? mild yoga in pregnancy should be fine and it will teach you how to relax properly, I found listening to the radio when i was pottering about useful too, stops your brain wondering and scanning your body for symptoms that can trigger an attack hope that helps xxxx
