Question re early gender scans

I have finally twisted hubbys arm and he has agreed to an early gender scan at 17 weeks!! It is my mums 60th birthday when i will be 20 weeks and my family are taking her abroad so she wont be in the country to find out if her first grandchild is a boy or a girl. so we are doing an early private scan so she can be there!! are they accurate at 17 weeks? it would be worst nightmare if they told me boy or girl at 17wk then the other when i have my NHS scan at 20 weeks!!! and has anyone used babybond before. are they good? xxxx

Babybond in my opinion are the best, I used them with my dd and they were right and used them for 4d scan too - they check and check until they are pretty sure they are right. This time we went and got told boy and it was definately a boy, they light up the ambilical cord so you can see the dangly bits really are dangly bits and not cord - the sonographer checked mine 4 times, you obviously have to sign something to say you won't sue them if there wrong, boys are harder to get wrong than girls.

Good luck

I was 16+5 when I had mine at Babybond. She had the cord in between her legs for most of it which made it difficult at first but the sonographer was certain it was a girl once we got it out of the way, this was confirmed at my 20 week scan also.

I had mine with baby bond at 16+5, I will share the pictures with you because then you can see how clear it was and how there was no doubt at all.

The first picture is her girly bits, and the second is what she looked like at 16+5

I knew I was having a boy this time, I just felt sooooo different from when pregnant with Chloe, i've suffered more this time, with Chloe I wouldn't of even known I was pregnant! Plus i've gone completely off sweet things, and am all for savoury - this happened to my mum when preg with my brother and my auntie when pregnant with my cousin so I had an incling - my hubby didn't believe me till he saw it on the screen

Cute pic!! I had mine at exactly the same stage as you and my baby looks so much fatter lol.

It isn't the first time she has looked chunky compared to other people's scans, maybe I am further on than I thought.
