Go to Boots pharmacy and they give you a big bottle of Gaviscon for free! (at least they do in Scotland...)

Anyway, I usually have the aniseed flavour liquid, I'm not a fan of the peppermint. You can have the chewy tablets or something instead though, I think they are pretty much all safe.

Gaviscon is good to use during pregnancy, but the label states it must be used in moderation, just to let you know x x

I'd also say gaviscon, but i'd avoid the tablets. I don't know about anyone else but I just think they're rank and you end up with more in your teeth than in your stomach!!

I always start with a cold glass of milk if that doesnt work I find rennies work. I dont like the consistency of gaviscon and the tablets or very odd!

whatever you do, make sure whatever you're taking doesn't have a high calcium level in it, I was taking what my doctor told me to take, and it had 1500mg of calcium. and I was taking it like there was no tomorrow, and I developed kidney stones.
I now have medicine without calcium, heartburn sucks.

Personally gaviscon didn't agree with me so when I was pregnant with my LO I went through boxes of Rennie fruits like they were sweeties! Anything too minty made me gag so the fruity flavour seemed to work.
