WORRIED letter from doctor!

hi ladies.
I had my 20 week scan 3 weeks ago and was told at the time everything was normal but now ive had a letter from my gp saying they have recieved a copy of the results and want me to make an appointment to discuss the results! Now im so worried and cant even call cos its the weekend! Anyone else had this? Is it just routine? Help

Must be a routine thing, if it were urgent they'd be on the phone to you telling you to get to a hospital. When I had this they just wanted to prescribe me with iron/vitamin tablets. No harm was done previously, just a little low and would be better if I take them in future. Your letter could be about anything, but there's lots of small things that could be up and I bet it's one of those rather than something too bad. Try not to worry hun x x x

Edit - I was on about blood test, sorry. But I think the same can be said for scans, they might have forgot to take one of their measurements, or seeking to give you advice a number of small things. Let us know how it goes, again if it were a urgent thing they'd be on the phone getting an ambulance to come and collect you. My friend had a problem and they didn't want to wait for a normal appointment.

Things like this always arrive at the weekend! I got a letter saying I had severe pre-cancer cells in my smear results, on a Saturday morning of a bank holiday weekend! You think they would be a bit more mindful.

Maybe it is just routine for them. If they said it was ok at the time, then don't worry.

I agree it would be terrifying!
But I agree with previous posters, if it was anything to worry about they would have let you know over the phone straight away x

I can understand about being nervous - but honestly I don't think you have ANYTHING to worry about. Doctors and mw's are very thorough with this stuff...so even though the ultrasound tech said the results were normal and fine, the doctor or mw still has to review things regardless and go over those results with you!
I have my 20 wek scan coming up and my doctor already informed me to make my next prenatal appt for after that, just so she could relay all the results to me at that point...even though the u/s tech will inform me as well.
It's just policy that the medical professional needs to go over the results! Hang in there hun...I honestly think baby is TOTALLY fine! hugs!
