Quickening - Baby's first felt movements

Hiya,

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me when they first felt baby (if you have yet) and what it felt like.

I've heard some people say it's like a twitchy eye or popcorn... but what did you feel?

It got earlier with me for each pregnancy . This time been my 3rd baby i felt the first bubbles around 14 weeks .

I finally felt mine over a week ago. They are my first babies and it feels so odd, like bubbles and popping.

Only felt mine within the last week and half.. felt like a bubble was being blown up inside, over and over in the same place.

Now I get like a 'thud' type feeling and that's what I can feel on the outside too.

Twitching eye is a very good description though - when you feel that, you'll know why people compare it to an eye twitch!

I felt my 1st baby at 17 weeks, it felt like little bubbles, felt this baby on Christmas eve for the first time (around 14 weeks) and felt like little jabs or quick pokes.

I will be seeing my Dr again next week but I think I may be around 15 weeks pregnant (probably not as I've not had a BFP... complicated lol!) and for the last few days I have felt what feels like gas but isn't, it's different. I also today felt like an eye twitch about 3 inches below my belly button and deep inside which was odd.

I could just be imagining it but I am just not sure!! I am very bloated and have been feeling mild cramping pains for the last 2 months on and off!

So confused lol! I will find out next week though!

it could be....seems a bit early for your first baby but everyone feels it at different times!

It could be varied. Some feel twitches, some feel butterflies and others feel nudges.

With my first and second, I felt a definite nudge.

With my third, I felt twitches and felt him sooner than my others...just over 15 weeks.

I felt flutters first, then bubbles at around 17 weeks I think and then kicks from then on! Although sometimes it isn't so much kicks as thumps, or hiccups! xxx

I felt this baby around 15/16 weeks and it was that quickening fluttery type feeling at first then soft little jabs. then this past weekend more little pokes

With my first I felt him at 17 weeks - no flutters etc. just a big couple of kicks/pokes then nothing after that til' about 20,21 weeks.
