Ligament Pain....

I have been getting a pain in the lower left side of my stomach, hurts to walk and lift my legs especially at night....could this be round ligament pain even tho the pain is only on the one side?
Got the doc ringing me soon but any advice from fellow pregnant ladies would be great. Thanks in advance x

Babys heartbeat and movements are fine x

You can have it just down one side, infact the right hand side is the most common, but it can occur on the left or both! I am suffering at the moment in the night, as I did around 17 weeks and it hurts! The doctor said for intense ligament stretching, have paracetemol. I guess it means our babies are growing!!! xxx

I have it down both sides but no reason it cant be just one side. I hope the Dr can reassure you and that its just stretching. I just take Paracetamol too, hope it settles down, Happy New Year, take care XX

Some days it is focused on the right side and some days on the left. I have also had it down the middle. And yes, it hurts like a son of a gun, especially when I get up after sitting down for a while. Can barely walk sometimes and does take my breath away.

My family doctor told me at my last prenatal (18 weeks) said it was completely normal, as your uterus is now starting to really grow and your pelvic ligaments are starting to loosen up to support the weight.

To ease the pain, adjust your position until you find a comfortable one with no pain. Try sleeping on your left side, if you haven't already begun to do this. Suggested in books that your left side is best, as it relieves the pressure off your pelvic bone.
