| I wouldn't worry too much, over here we don't even have 12 wks scans normally only a quick glance at baby at 10 wks or so and a more comprehensive scan at 18-20 weeks. Maybe some other ladies know more about that test, I've never heard of it ? | | | | Status: Offline

| Do you mean a nuchal scan? Perhaps they checked during your 12 week scan and measured the fluid? I would speak with your midwife as if you do want to have a nuchal and haven't had the measurements do, they have just a week to do it! Hugs xx | | | | Status: Offline

| Its not compulsary at certain hospitals hun .
Some offer this some dont , But if they see they think the neck has fluid they would automatically of checked the growth size , So that would mean they didnt see a need to and baby is perfectly healthy hun .
Well done . x . | | | | Status: Offline

| Yeah I mean the nuchal one, I was in and out in 5 minutes, she only talked to me to tell me off for wearing my belly bar and for asking about my next scan. | | | | Status: Offline

| They take your bloods too with a Nuchal Test.
Speak to your midwife if you want it done, I know some hospitals don't offer as standard and charge.
If you are over 35 they offer one as standard as the odds are higher. Apparently. We had one done and they do measure the fluid in the neck and the sonographer talks you through it. | | | | Status: Offline

| I don't know if this will help but they didn't do one at my 12week scan. In our Trust we get offered (not compulsory) bloods at 16 weeks instead of the nuchal scan as they apparently don't have the software at the hospital I am booked in at. I was told that the bloods and scan give same accuracy of results but if I wanted a scan then I would have to re-book at another hospital. Might be worth asking if this is the way they do it at your hospital, although I do agree with you, this should probably have been explained to you, and I think 11-13 weeks is the optimum time to do the nuchal scan! | | | | Status: Offline
