If you're breastfeeding be aware that your milk may not come in for 4 or 5 days... and that's NORMAL!! No one told me that. The day before my milk came in my son was loosing his mind and I almost gave in and gave him a bottle - which would have further delayed my milk coming in!

I had lots of wool blankets knitted for me, I didn't wash them and my dd got horrible rash.

I always did the last feed of the day/night time one in her room in the dark and she seemed to recognise the difference and slept through the night from 6 weeks.

I breastfed and for all you ladies that want to please don't listen to any negative people that try and put you down, (my mil used to say oh you don't know how much she's having etc and used to stress me out) you know whats best for you and your baby whether thats bottle or breast.

Also dummys. I never wanted to use one, heard all these bad things etc. I breastfed and still used them sucessfully, only because my daughter starting using the breast for comfort and not feeding which meant one night she was on and off for 7 hours until I tried a dummy and voila it worked. I weaned her off it very quickly at 7 months as she no longer needed it.

I'll try and think of anymore!
