i got told for the first few days for the cord if the nappys will be covering the cord to just turn over the top so its under the cord and they still do up like normal..

Towels i dont no there are some cheap baby ones out there but my gran got some free towels from nescaffee and they where really soft so she put them back in the bag and now there for baby lol

HUNDREDS of bibs!!!

We have about 30 and I still struggle to get them all done.

Id also suggest when packing you hospital bag that you pack 2 bags if you are planning on an in/out visit. This is why:

I was in hospital about 8 hopurs and I had a backpack, HUGE bag of my things and a bag of OHs things. I went into the delivery room pretty quickly and OH was running backwards and forwards between pushes to get bags and things from the ward into delivery room, and once I delivered my son the same again which resulted in me getting my mobile phone nicked from the ward.

Next time I would pack a bag of essentials, and a bag of extras just incase I need to stay in longer, that way OH can just pick it up and come in with it and not have to worry about having loads of bags with us.

Hope that made sense? lol

xxx

Got a basket to keep baby's grooming stuff together, so that I can just pick it up and go to the washroom with it, that way things are always together I know what I've got and don't have to worry about calling for someone to get this/that while I've got baby in the bath.

Also got drawer organizers at IKEA to keep baby's socks, booties, scratch mitts, etc. organized and separated.

I am going to only keep CURRENT clothes hanging and in drawers, have bins for all "too big for now/future use" clothes. The too small clothes will go into bins as well and be put away until someone needs them/I have another baby.

Have also put people's initials on tags with permanent marker so I know who's lent me what in case they ask for things back, so I know what I can pass onto others, etc.

Ooh and with the influx of gifts I'm expecting to receive when baby arrives I'm keeping a list of exactly what people give to us lol so I know what I'm thanking who for.. so I'm not just saying thanks and not knowing what it's for? Bonus points for me if I put baby in the outfits people gave me when we see them

def a good idea with the storage for bigger/grown out clothes.
Ive got 3 plastic tubs in the room, theyre not glamorous looking (big asda logo on them lol) but theyre perfect for keeping the clothes organised and i have already split up the clothes i have into them.
