name problem

well im giving the baby my sir name as i feel tht if me and my oh split up and i had more kids i wouldnt want them to all have diff sir names (nothing wtong with tht just personal choice) and it is easily changes if we got married so my oh wants to give him his middle name which runs through the men in his family it is george and i dont really like it and i think its a bit of a tounge twister to say with my sir name so baby would be (if we stick with the first name) Mason George Jellis i just dont like the way it sounds with tht middle name but what can i say? its not fair if i get to pick both names and im not really keen on family run names my family we all have individual middle names. but i really dont no what to say to my oh

I think it sounds really nice actually. I know thats not what you wanted to hear but I actually like it. Plus since it is his child to wouldn't it be nice for your little one to at least have some part of his dad if you to split up. Its not like you would have to call him george everyday. It's his middle name. I would stick with it for OH... But that is just my opinion. If it's really what you don't want though try something else maybe... what about his first name as the babies middle name? That way its still something of his and maybe it sounds better?

My aunt has only one child with maiden name for his middle name. I think it is just fine to have it with only one child. plus, it is a nice name.

Weeelll.... I'm kinda like the others. I like the name hun And it's a middle name so you're not going to be calling him by that name. It's a nice connection to his dad too even if you end up separating in the future.

But it's your child so if you really don't like it, why don't you find another compromise with your OH. Maybe after his name or someone in his family he's really close to like his dad or uncle?

Aw hun, Sounds like your in a bit of a pickle.
If you really don't like the sound of the two names together then why dont you have your OH's name as his middle name, Surely he'd be so chuffed with you suggesting it? Then there both really connected even if he hasnt got your OH's surname.
And like the others said, Your not really going to be saying or calling his middle name much (unless its one of them double sort of names eg Anne-marie)
Hopfully your OH will understand you

I think it also sounds lovely to be honest. I think it has a lovely sound to it and I love the fact that George is a family name. I also love the name George anyway so maybe I am not the best person to comment!
Longroadaheads suggestion is a good one too

I really like it and think that is actually goes quite well with your surname.

For the record I persuaded my sister to fight so that her LO could have her surname as I didn't rate her fella (still don't) and she is SO glad she did, she just didn't have the heart at the time until I backed her up (she was obviously heavily pregnant and/or with a new baby) so I think you are doing the right thing.
