midwife appointments - when

hi ladies - just wondering if i can ask a quick question i have somehow "misplaced" the list that my midwife gave me to tell me when i needed to see her during pregnancy! im sure it is in a safe place somewhere! but anyway i have had my triple bloods done the other day at the hosp, was there anyway and they said they would do them there save another trip to the docs.

but when how ofter have you all seen your midwife, i know i have to see a dactor around 20 wks but other than that i am clueless! just rung the surgery but the midwife is on holiday and they don't know either.

any ideas?

usually at 16 weeks u'll have an appointment which you have to book yourself, and then you'll have a letter for 20 weeks scan. and then usually another appointment at 24 and 28 weeks and then depends how your doing you may be seen more regular during the last 12 weeks x x x

Booking Visit 10-12 weeks
15-16 weeks
Anomaly scan & consultant 19-22 weeks
GP/Midwife 25 weeks
28 weeks
31 weeks
34 weeks
36 weeks
GP 38 weeks
40 weeks
(41 weeks if necessary)

I would have thought that your MW would have booked your 16 week appointment when she last saw you.

My midwife didnt book mine for 16 weeks, I guess it just depends on where you live. Ive always booked my next visit at the end of my check. I think if you have any worries though you will be able to make an appointment any time. x

Yes but normally either the MW books the appointment or asks you to do so at reception on your way out. I would be very surprised if I was left to just leave at the end without knowing when I'd be back!!

Well like it said, it obviously varies in different parts of the country and in different surgeries etc. What Im saying is that its not like your scan where you get a letter through giving you a time and a date. You make the appointment yourself for a time and day that suits you!
