Scan question

Would you organise a private gender scan prior to your 20 week anomoly scan (if you get one) if you know your hospital has a no tell policy, or would you wait in case they do tell you i.e. saving you almost £100?

We have our 20 week scan on 22nd December, at our first scan there were signs saying they have a no tell policy, not to hassle the staff to tell you etc, so we are contemplating getting a private gender scan costing £75 (2D), but if we go for it after our 20 week scan it will have to wait until after Xmas. We had hoped to know the sex for Xmas so we could tell our folks on Xmas day.

there is a chance you may see anyway at the nhs scan bits or no bits lol but it wont be confirmed..

you could book a private scan and pay the deposit i think £25 and cancel if u find out..

does that make sense? like book it for the 23rd?

i know baby premier only take a £25 deposit you pay the rest on the day

or even consider waiting till later on and having a 4d scan?

Thanks FierceAngel, 3d and 4d scans are out as H finds them scary looking lol. I'm thinking we should just wait to see what happens at our scan and if they can't tell us or won't, then book a private one for before new year, its only a few days wait.

I cant reccommend private scans enough!! whether its to find out babys sex or not its the most amazing experience ever. If you can afford it I say DEFO have one. I absolutely loved my scan. I went at just before 18 weeks and my partner, mum gran and 2 sisters also came. We were all watchin baby on a large HD tv for at least half an hour and got a dvd and cd of pictures. A private scan is sooo different to a routine scan as you are there to watch and not just be measured and have a quick peep before you go.
