How terrible. Some people don't deserve their hunting license.

I don't want this to sound insensitive at all because it might (but I really don't mean it like that, I know how hard it is to lose a pet) but be thankful it wasn't an actual person that got shot. Especially considering this past year where there have been a few instances of hunters shooting other people because they mistook them for a turkey or deer or something. Either way, it is still heartbreaking to hear about what happened to that poor doggy

I know what you mean - my first thought when I heard it was that I was glad it wasn't Thomas. Working in the bush, there have been times when a stray bullet has flown past my head and exploded in a tree behind me. It's always unnerving, to say the least. Hunters always forget how far their bullets go if they miss.

what a complete d%ck! he looked nothing like a wolf! god how horrible i hope the poor little dog had a quick end to his suffering from what happened...although i know thats not really any consolation...

I'm so sorry to hear that you have had to go through this. We hunt too and I always am concerned that this will happen to us. OH and I send our thoughts for you and your friend.
