I am so scared of scan tomorrow

Tomorrow I have my anamoly scan. I am so scared something will be very wrong with my baby.
I know most ladies look forward to this day - but I am dreading it.

My first little girl died suddenly aged 6 weeks and 2 days and had a heart defect which was found at the 20 weeks scan.

I am also a very active member of the SANDS (stillbirth and neonatal death soiety) forum and read all about other ladies who have dreadful things wrong with their babies. Maybe I should have stayed away from the forum in the run up to my scan - but I couldn't!

I just want it all to be OK.

Oh honey, you will be fine!

What happened to you before is SOO unlikely to ever happen again. It was just very very unlucky. And i know what you mean about forums. I've got my cervical problems (as you know!) and i've joined an incompetent cervix forum, but there are so many scary stories that it always really worries me. So while it's supportive it can also be psychologically negative too.

Try to relax and just be excited you're going to see your gorgeous little baby, who'll you'll love no matter what, but who will almost certainly be a healthy little bundle x

its so heart especially with the past

My lo looks fine but they are bringing me back next weeks for another scan as they say they didnt get a clear view of everything! I keep freaking out thinking they they have seen something wrong and they are not telling me

90 minutes until my scan!!!

Good luck this morning hun but I'm sure you won't need it. The thing to remember about forums is that they are a very small section of society crammed into one little space and they make every thing seem common and it isn't. I am the only person I know how has had a miscarriage never mind 2 but there are loads of women on here who have had 2 or more so it makes things seem worse. Big

for you and I look forward to seeing your pics. Will you be finding out the sex hun?

thinking positive thoughts for you. I was so scared I nearly fainted in my scan, and I had no history or reason to be. i didnt look forward to it at all!
