pram, please help

right so im having trouble deciding which pram to get.

I went to babies r us last night with the OH to have a play about with a few and the one we liked was the Graco Metrosport one. it comes with the carseat and it is very light but i have never been keen on a carseat that just sits in the pram, i think they look unsafe.

the second one we saw was in mamas and papas. i had seen this one on the internet and really liked it. it comes complete with a carry cot, car seat, changing bag, rain cover everything im going to need for it really. and its still very light (i can pick it up once its folded no problem) but its alot more expensive.

i dont know which one to go for so would just like you to leave your opinions. ive asked my friends (who dont have children) and they all think the mamas and papas one but i think thats just based on the actual look of it not the practicality of it.

i like the mamas n papas one, i like the separte carry cot, i see alot of people pushing babies round in carseats for long periods of time, i think the safe time is 2hrs and some car seats 4hrs.
plus you cant wrap them up as snuggly as you can in a pram especially in winter,
think it depends how much you walk out and about with the pram i suppose. if your darting around car seats are great on top of prams cos you don't have to disturb them in a car park etc...
they both must be safe as they have to pass reulations. but i know what you mean.

Have you got a mammas and pappas store near you where you can try the pram out as its alot of money to spend if when you order it and it arrives you dont like it/get on with it?

yea we went and had a play with it last night and i cant make my mind up. i know its an awful lot of money to spend on a pram if im going to use it for 3 months and then use a lightweight stroller. im goin to go at the weekend and have another play with both of them with no sales ppl about (hopefully)

I'm getting the pliko switch. I had the pliko pramette previously and loved it, the switch faces either way which is a bonus. The pram bit comes off the chassis completely, so acts like a carry cot too. (I sound like a M&P's sales person!)
