I'm Currently Feeling: | I get that too sometimes and I'm 30. I just don't give a crap about what people think. I only care about the opinions of people I care about...and obviously they don't have any issue. |

But this is getting annoying. Ive had several people make nasty remarks 'behind my back' about me being a teenage mother! One lady overheard my husband and I talking on the bus about the baby coming and she said to her friend (of course loud enough for me to hear) "Another baby having a baby..just what we need!" I snapped back at her.."Im almost 30 years old!! And its none of your buisness!!"
Two days ago in the deli, I was talking to this actually friendly lady..about how far along I was. And there was a lady behind me clearly listening. Because just as I was about to leave I heard her say to the woman I was talking too "If my teenage daughter was knocked up.." I couldnt make out the rest.
Then today in the maternity shop..the counter lady was a total hag to me. I bought a pair of jeans in there and she wouldn't even make eye contact with me..she was like "these are for you?", "oh when are you due?", "your parents must be SO proud?" in this horribly rude tone..then she asked me these questions about my postal code, phone number..and then wrapped up my stuff..and handed it to me. I was about to leave when she says "sorry how old are you anyways?" Im like "29!" and she was like "oh sorry" clearly she assumed otherwise! Why else say sorry?!
I dont get it...do I have a sticker on my forehead that says talk down about me?! I think I need a shirt that says 'Married. Almost 30! Pregnant with our first!"
Rant over. Sorry.
PS I know it's a good thing in the end..looking younger. But I guess it bugs me because I dont want to deal with the glares and crap when the baby comes! And having to defend myself..SUCKS! |
I totally relate to that. i am quite small, only 5 foot, and have been blesses with good skin i suppose... i get iD for everything.... and when i went to a pregnancy yoga class everyone lookes so much older, so i started by saying... "Hi, I am rita, i am 29 and married "... Just in case LOL
Some people are just terrible... i havent heard any comments yet, but if i do I will tell them my ages and then will make sure they feel guilty... wouls possibly also comment on how unfortunate they had bad gened and look so old LOL

I'm Currently Feeling: | This is definetly something I can relate to as well as i'm only 5'1'' (don't forget that 1''!! ) and I get ID'd all the time and have even been banned from pubs for being underage as I had no ID on me at the time!! I'm 28 and married and as much as it's a compliment to be told I still look like i'm in school at the same time I would rather not have to carry my passport around with me all the time!! So this is the one thing i'm not looking forward to once I start to show with my bump, I might actually invest in a I'm 28 so bu***r off!! t'shirt!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | im 19 and the only "not even rude" remark came from my pap (my grandad) wich was "ohhh and there was me and nan just sayin you were the sensible one" lol which is typical of him lol so i dont mind, but other than that ive had nothing soo far!
but i do agree that its disgusting that people think they have the right to judge you!

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm in shock that people can think it's okay to comment on another persons life choices! So what if you are 29 or 16 and pregnant? No-one has the right to comment, whatever your age. Rude, rude people. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Im 18 and I get rude comments and evil looks from people out in public. I do look younger than 18 also. But it really winds me up that I cant go shopping without tons of people staring at me then turning and saying something to their friends. It got to me that much the other day when I was out shopping I actually went and bought a coat that would cover my bump just so that I could shop in peace! It annoys me how people are so judgemental when they know nothing about me!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | People are the same with my OH coz he only looks about 15 and I always make a point of saying loudly oh what are we going to do next week for your 23rd.
The reactions are funny. We've just started to laugh at them now |

I'm Currently Feeling: | people just need to mind their business.....all of this drives me crazy. So many double standards making comments about situations they have no clue about....
The ring on my finger thing drives me batty. |
