i used to get it al the time when i was little. dont suffer from it that much any more though. its horrible when you do get it so expect tears for your daughter and she probably wont want to eat much. ice cream and cold things used to help me but apart from that it was just medicine and lots of tlc

I have to ask as i suspect my daughter has something like that at the minute, does she keep swallowing? making a gulping noise?
My daughter keeps doing that and i had a look in her mouth earlier and she looked a little swollen but hasent complained of any pain.

I got it as an adult. It's like a mega bad sore throat so all I could eat was milkshakes but you can get pretty good nutritional meal replacement type shakes. I don't think it effected me too badly in terms of getting up and about, i remember walking to the doctors, just couldn't speak.

I was told by my midwife friend no matter how sick yu where with colds, flues or even just vomiting it dosnt effect your baby. She was in hospital a whole 5 months of her pregnancy ill and went down to 7st and she is very tall. Her babies where healthy.

I work for an Ear,Nose, Throat specialist, if you have any questions, feel free to ask! Now about if there are any concerns if you get it while being pregnant, I guess really any sickness sucks when you're pregnant as you aren't able to take a lot of OTC meds to help you deal, so I hope you don't get it!
