Ive had 3 scans so far, but I'm also considered high risk, so I guess theyre keeping an eye on me. Gosh, I don't know how they can let you go so long without a scan. Not that there is anything medically unethical about it..but just for your joy and benefit of seeing your little bubs! Good luck!

Oh and good job getting a MW. I hope that she is tons better than that useless doc you have. If you need to proceed with a doc...maybe consider getting another.

Just to make you feel better, I live in the UK and they won't give you a 12 week scan in my region [Watford, Herfordshire]. I have to wait until 20 weeks so me and my hubby paid for a private one.

I think it depends which area you live in but expecting someone to wait until 18/20 weeks for their first scan is stupid. The main reason we had an early private scan was that I have triplets in my family so just wanted to check everything out and yes there is only 1 in there!
