How far along untill you stop sleeping on your back?

I was just curious on how far along you have to be to stop sleeping on her back? I have been avoiding it and sleeping on only my sides and I found myself sleeping on my back when I woke up from my nap earlier...I just dont to be worried if I wake up again on my back!

i still sleep on my back! i think it becomes a problem when your bump gets big and too heavy...something about the weight blocking a critical artery (of yours) and that could be dangerous for you. thats just something i remember reading somewhere

like you i find myself sleeping on my back when i wake up

I've just stopped the last week or so because there's really too much weight pushing down on my organs and it hurts. I always think I need to pee if I wake up on my back, but once I turn on my side I'm good again.

I think its not until 3rd tri when the extra weight makes it uncomfortable to sleep on your front or back and the weight of the baby affects the flow of blood for you and the LO but if you're still finding it comfortable i wouldnt worry.xx

I asked my consultant about this.

She says that you'll know when it's a problem, as you'll feel uncomfy and might feel a bit light headed when you stand up due to restricted blood flow. What she also said was that so long as you have at least one pillow under your head, you shouldn't have any probs at all no matter how far along you are.

xx
