im am getting so pissed off at the moment. since i have been preg i have been more aware in what goes on in the world of pregnancy. and i am more aware of how quickly a baby becomes a baby if ya get me.

and this rant is about teenagers (even tho i am one lol and preg so i dont know if im being a hypocrit) tell me if i am lol

i am getting sick of teenage girls getting pregnant not once, but two,three,four times (beleive me it does happen) and thinking that abortion is a form of contraception. i have heard so many stories about girls having so many abortions and today i finally blew. i was talking to a friend and she said she didnt want a baby but she didnt like using contraception. so i said well that means you will probley end up preg and she turns round and goes "yeah i know but ill just get an abortion init thats what everyone else does" arrrrrrgh i seriously went for her and i said "no everyone dosn't do it i havn't done it i've met alot of gurls on baby and bump who havn't done it. and i think that gurls who think abortion is a form of contraception are stupid lil cows who need a good smack" and then i put the phone down. was i too harsh??. i mean yer i will not judge a gurl who has had one abortion but to say it so easily and talk about it like its the new trend really did make me mad.

arrgh to all teen gurls out there who think abortion is a form of contraception then you all seriously are very sad people. its a living breathing baby and stop treating them like the latest flipping trend

rant over sorry if no one agrees its just my opinon im NOT having a go at gurls who have one abortion im having a go at the ones who seem to think its the latest fashion and use it as contraception

You already know how I feel about this but I just thought I'd post here too... you weren't too harsh at all hun, it's so sad and upsetting that people can be so careless & treat abortion like its a valid form of contraception. They are killing a life!!! I'm not exactly pro-life, I do know that sometimes an abortion seems like the only choice for some girls & I respect a women's right to choose, BUT there is a big difference from painstakingly decide it's the only thing you can do, and deciding to have an abortion at the drop of a hat because you were too lazy to use contraception or to grow up and face your actions.

I totally agree hunni. When I was in school that's all every girl seemed to be doing, getting pregnant then havin an abortion. Thought it was easy, get pregnant then get rid. They obviously don't think before they have unprotected sex. It doesn't cross their minds that they could end up pregnant. . .Girls have said, 'but it's not a baby until later on' Yeah it isnt a fully formed baby, but it has a heartbeat, it is alive. They don't think at all, and it is upsetting. We was shown an abortion video in religious education in year 11 (the last year).. it was hard to watch, and i was almost crying. A few of the girls at school also was there, but had to leave the room, because they knew what they did and couldnt watch it. I don't agree with abortion, but don't have anything against people that have had them.

I agree 100%. There are so many families out there that want babies so badly, and these girls just act like it is no big deal to terminate pregnancies. They seriously need to reevaluate...

I'm pro-choice, but I completely agree that it's disgusting and reckless to use abortion as a form of contraception. I mean for God's sake, use birth control and/or condoms, it's not that hard! I had a very active sex life before I met DH and I ALWAYS used protection because I didn't want to get pregnant -- I can't imagine just saying "Oh, if it happens I'll get an abortion"! That's horrible! Besides, there's always the whole STD thing that makes condoms a big necessity.

You were totally in the right, not too harsh at all. If that is honestly your friend's idea of 'contraception', that is very, very messed up.

i think the same hun i think that not using contraceptive and thinking abortion is a form of contraceptive is very irresponsible and just plain wrong. I wish i could be more upfront to friends who think this, like you were to your friend . I have a dear friend who's had 3 abortions (that i KNOW of) and i always bite my tongue and stay quiet . Good for you for sticking up for all those little babies who may never make it!

I also completely agree with what you said. People using abortion as a contraceptive is one of the things i hate the most in this world. I understand people who have no choice but to have an abortion but i cannot for the life of me understand this "oh well, if it happens i'll just get rid of it" attitude that so many girls seem to have today. Although i also recall reading an interesting statistic the other month about older women who are also becoming more relaxed about using contraception as they approach the menopause and then having abortions when they fall pregnant. Think i may have been told that in a lecture or something at uni actually, or worked it out myself when looking at abortion statistics.

ha ha im not that bad hun just really fiery. . anyway im sure we will never argue lol
