Starting the nursery?

When do you think is a good time to actually start "doing" the nursery?

I mean ive got my cot and whatnot in boxes in there and i dont know if its too soon to start building stuff and starting to make it nice?

When did you girls start yours?

At the moment mini PP's stuff is just in a big heap in there

Mine was ready to have things put in a couple of weeks ago. I didn't wnat to stuck in the situation where everything was piled up and we had to get everything out, just to put it in properly!
Plus, I think it's lovely to see it all pulling together over the weeks. It's probably easier to see what you still need this way too.
Good luck, and don't forget the update photos - I haven't seen any nurseries for a while!!!

We're doing ours in september, I didn't want it being done when I was on maternity leave. DH was going to do it during his factory shut down but has decided to work through that so he can get extra time off when LO's born

I havent even started mine yet, but thats because i'm moving house in november after the baby is born, awkward i know but i couldnt move any sooner. Otherwise I would have started at about 23 weeks when I still had enough energy.

We're making a start on ours this weekend. All the furniture is ordered so I want to get it emptied (is OH's play room at the mo - so have hundreds of DVD's etc to find a home for). Then it needs painting and all the extra's making. My mum is great and she is making all the bedding and curtains etc so I can have something a bit different! So lucky!
