Hairy, hairy, hairy

I'm sure my hairiness is increasing. It started on my stomach, then my chest, then my arms (including a rather disturbing bit right by my elbow) and now I think it's creeping down my hands (in addition to hair everywhere getting thicker and generally spreading out).

Is it likely that I'll be some sort of Yeti by the time I give birth or will I just retain this level of hairness now? Any tips for getting rid of it?

x

I think it's time we brought hairy back.
Seriously, men can walk around as shaggy as they like and no one says a word.
We women already have disproportionate pressures in the grooming department - if you subscribe to mainstream culture or listen to the grumbling of our men about how long it takes us to get ready for things, I think there is ample proof that we already spend way too much time fussing with hair, make-up, depilation... the whole nine yards.
And to squeeze a little extra lemon juice into the paper cut, all of this stuff costs more, too!
I say bring hairy back... at least for pregnancy.
It's just too much bother on top of everything else. Plus if anyone says anything, you can fly into a delightful hormonal rage and tear a strip off them with a satisfyingly self-righteous rant, thereby relieving stress. It's win-win!

Missread the first line and realised I haven't checked to see how hairy my back is

I love your suggested approach - I think I will follow your advice but only while I'm not in close proximety to zoos or safari parks.

You got it, babe!
Seriously, what fool would be stupid enough to tell a preggo to shave her legs? Or her armpits?
And we have such a great range of OTT reactions to choose from!
Burst into loud, noisy tears and make a terrible scene with lots of "He hurt my feelings!" and finger-pointing, so that the crowd can rush to your defense and knows exactly who to aim their disapproval at.
Or, let a deep red colour creep over your face as you start off with an intense low growl and narrowed eyes, work through hissing and teeth gnashing, and finish the 20-minute long rant (about how insensitive men have ruined the world) at the top of your lungs, probably while chasing the culprit across a busy shopping mall.
Really the possibilities are endless and the lesson would never be forgotten.

Of course, maybe we should be the hairy pack though

And you Frankie - you may need to work on your hair growing for when you get to the second tri though, you're nearly here!!! x

Sarahkka - I think if we get too hairy it could scare people off so they won't say anything.. we need a happy medium to ensure we have people to legitmately snap at.
