It's a boy-child!
Quite unmistakably!
As the technician said, "If it turns out to be a girl, you're going to need an operation to do something about that!" (pointing at brazen display of masculinity from our son).
And it's funny, because I thought it would matter more to me, but I really was more interested in the fact that everything looked good and ticked off healthy. I'm trying not to think about being the mother of a teenage boy someday, though. One step at a time.
We went to a toy store after and played with the wooden trains for awhile and let the news sink in!

They are not the most flattering shots as baby still has no fat and looks a lot like a froggy little alien, but he already has tiny movements that mimic my husband and he definitely has his face. I can already see this at 18 weeks!
My darling MIL is fond of saying that if my husband had been her first child, he'd have been an only child, so we'll see what Bambino's little personality is like. I may be in for a wild ride!
We have decided to pretend to everyone else that we don't know the sex, as we are really getting the vibe from friends and family that they'd like to be surprised. I have permission to share with the several thousand users of this blog, however!
