I'm Currently Feeling: | Sleeping only on left side?! A cousin of mine who is pregnant with twins told me that it is no good to sleep on the right side. She told me that as she asked me how I sleep and I told her that on my left side, but since I have scoliosis, I get tired, and turn around a little and then go back to the left side.
She surprised me by saying that it is no good to sleep on my right side, even if it is for 5 minutes. She scared me. I am aware that its better sleeping on the left side, for the baby's sake.
Any input? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I switch sides all the time! Sleeping on only my left hand side makes my left hip really hurt. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I heard that the lest side gets a lil better circirlation to the baby but only a lil I heard..I asked my dr and she said either side is good just not on your back after 4 months..I think different people different situations why the dr would tell them only one side..If your dr or midwife didn't recommend it to you you should be cool with either side.. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have heard it is better for the baby for you to sleep on your left, i am not sure as to why. i have been told you aren't supposed to sleep on your back something to do with oxygen but I thinks that is in the later stages of pregnancy.
i sleep on both left and right and asked the midwife about it and she just said to sleep how ever you can as getting a good nights sleep is important |

I'm Currently Feeling: | They say that sleeping on your left gets the baby in the right position for birth and sleeping on the right ca add extra pressure to your liver etc.....i say, sleep where you are comfy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Not sleeping on your back is due to restricting blood flow to the vena cava and aorta (not good!).
I have never heard that one side is better than the other for sleep, either.
My concern is that I flop around all the time in my sleep. I would have trouble staying in just one position. I just have to trust that my body will adjust itself as it needs to.
As for left vs right..I wouldn't lose any sleep over it! ha ha ha
Sorry. That was really bad. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've heard this too, but it's impossible to stay on your left side the whole night, and you'd be numb down one side! lol I agree that you shouldn't worry too much, and should sleep however you feel comfy.
