I'm Currently Feeling: | Length of Cervix I had a scan today and my cervix only measured 16mm (with funneling). Does anybody have any extra information about this? What is the length of the cervix meant to be at 25 weeks - I'm worrying about it.
They told me to use progesterone pessaries and come back for another scan in 2 weeks. Do I need to be concerned?

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm sorry, I don't know. Have you tried posting in third tri? There might be others who were told at the same time as you. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had the scan and was told my cervix was normal at 27mm. I'm sure everything'll be ok - I know how worrying things can be but bubs is ok and they know about it so can keep an eye out for problems . |

| I looked it up because I am a total nerd and find all the science stuff very interesting. Here is a link to babycentre.uk: http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnanc...gthscanexpert/
hope it helps! |

| If they told you to come back in two weeks, that suggests that they are keeping an eye on things, but that it is not an emergency. If they were really worried, they'd want to see you sooner than that.
Deep breaths! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Scan Today I thought my cervix would be stronger but it has narrowed to 12mm which I found quite shocking. I have been advised to keep using cyclogest each day and have been booked in for another scan on 15th August. I'm getting worried now.
Does anybody know how likely it is that I will deliver early based on these measurements? The web is full of scientific jargon. I just need some reassurnace. They said if I go as low as 10mm then they will give me steroid injections to speed up the baby's lungs development. Has anybody else been through a similar experience? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sorry hun I don't know, I did have the steroid injections because my son was born early at 33 weeks but they didn't know why. Good Luck and get plenty of rest hun.
