fundal height

I dont know if any of you get curious and have a poke around to see where the top of your uterus (fundus) is. I know I like to see...and its only last day or so that I've been able to feel it clearly.

Anyway found this diagram which shows approximately where the fundus should be. It says there should be 1cm of growth for each week of your pregnancy, but I'm not sure where they start measuring from...

From reading my maternity notes i gathered the height should be around the same as how many weeks PG you are

They should measure it from the top of the pubic bone to the top of the fundus. I have my 25 week appointment tomorrow, so we'll see how high mine is then!!!

This can be wrong.

The whole reason they thought I was 24 weeks when I was 13 weeks was because my fundal height was/is measuring at 24 weeks. Some people have an overly large uterus (apparently) and it isn't accurate. I haven't actually grown in fundal height since 13 weeks, only after 24 weeks will I start to grow again (or that would be logical. Who knows)

blahhh. I don't trust it.

Here is another Picture that might help - but as Rae says, it can be inaccurate.
