The fact that your hubbie's work said that he should have told them at the interview is utter crap...women do not have to tell their employers that they are pregnant until they are 15 weeks from their due date if they don't want to. They either don't know the law or are trying to pull a fast one.

Im am kinda sure her hubbys works meant that he should have notified them of needing the time off upon hiring because he will not have been working there long enough to have accured vacation time likely. Therefor the 2 weeks he wants off are going to be 2 weeks of unpaid time off for him.
