Im am kinda sure her hubbys works meant that he should have notified them of needing the time off upon hiring because he will not have been working there long enough to have accured vacation time likely. Therefor the 2 weeks he wants off are going to be 2 weeks of unpaid time off for him.

So ya, they can do the Unfortunately some employers dont see hubby's having babies being a big deal.

Dont be sorry, I probably have it mixed up too haha... I dont know what the labour laws are where she is

I know at my work I have to work there a year before having any vacation time. But for mat leave I only need to work there for 13 weeks.
