perhaps silly but...

We went on bus today to look at pushchairs and every time the bus paused it shook us to hell. I mean the vibrations were just terrible. Does anyone know the effect of that? Is it harmful? It was just freaking me out. All I could think of "Well this is just uncomfortable even for me so what on earth is it doing to baby?"

Baby will be fine, a bit like a tiny astronaut in it's own little bubble house all safe and sound. It's only at the end of the third trimester that a LOT (and really a LOT) of bumping around can sometimes, but rarely, trigger labour contractions.

I agree with Shri. I've been on several bumpy bus rides (we use public transit for pretty much everything) and have had no problems with my pregnancy Baby is well protected

God i dont know whether to admit to this but anyway....

back in may it was my birthday and i went to brighton...there was a funfair and im telling you it was soooo boring to watch everyone have a good time so I went on a roller coaster....!! It was 10 days before my 12 week scan..

It was only a little one.....no loops or anything..(to be honest, afterwards i thought i have sex rougher than that )..anyway... i felt really guilty lateron and told my MW and she said it will be fine as baby is cuhioned so much in the belly....anyway i had my scan and baby is fine!!

You will be suprised at how safe it is in there for them. Babies survive their mums being knocked about, falling down stairs etc....

Yeah baby will be fine. If you can imagine one of those huge kids blow up castles that they jump around in, thats what I picture when I think of that lol.

There's pregnant women that use aeroplanes. And no problems occur. So I'm sure LO will be completely safe in there.
