Hi ya, I have a 16 week appointment come through the post for a consultant (which is at my local hospital).

I think this is just a general Ante-Natal Appointment but as I havent seen anyone since my 9 week booking in appointment with the midwife can you tell me roughly what will happen at this appointment please?

Bloods taken for triple testing (if you want it done) and I'm sure they have a feel of your tummy to check how high your uterus is and maybe check on babys heartbeat

Ya, they will set you up for bloods and stuff... Ask you how its going, since you already saw your midwife at week 9 she wont be asking too many questions. She may book you an anatomy scan too for 19 or 20w.

I guess it jut depends on what your midwifes schedule for doing things is like.

My obgyn didnt start checking the uterus until 20w, just because before that the baby is small and it is less accurate.

At my 16 week, I had bloods taken, Blood pleasure, Urine Sample and booked my 20 week scan. They never felt my uterus until after 22 weeks XXX

At mine, I would've had bloods taken if I'd wanted the quadruple test, I had my BP taken and did a pee test. Listened to baby's heartbeat. Generally chatted about how I'd been and some ideas I'd had about my birth plan.

At my 16 week appointment I had blood taken for the quad screen, blood pressure and weight taken, listened to the heartbeat with the doppler, and had my fundal height checked (they did it for me, though I guess it's not really the norm to do it so early). Oh, and I scheduled my ultrasound while I was there, too.

I haven't had a 16week appointment?
The last time I saw my midwife was at 6 weeks when I found out I was pregnant.

Hope your appointment goes well! At my 16 week appointment (actually I think I was 17 weeks) they did my weight, blood pressure, listened for the baby's heartbeat. I didn't have to have bloods done but I had them done early on in my pregnancy (around 5 weeks).
