I'm Currently Feeling: | Was this baby?? Sitting at my computer just chatting with DH and i started to feel a stinging in my lower abdomen (ive been feeling these stings a lot the past 3-4 days). Anyway, after the sudden 2-4 second sting, a little of the left of my pubic bone i feel these 2 "pops" like popcorn popping...a thump thump...so hard to explain, it was so weird. I've read about early baby movement feels like 'popping'? could it have been baby? I've never felt that sort of thing before.
it did put me on though as i'm still sitting in limbo whether there's a baby in there or not (i know, sounds horrible! but other than the occasional sickness and getting 'pudgy' i don't have anything else, not even a proper bump!)
my 16 week appt. is this friday and the more and more i approach it, the more scared i am . I hope that baby was just trying to reassure his/her worried mum!!! |

C x | i do try not to worry, im pretty good about it, just going this long without even hearing a heartbeat...it's hard to 'get into' this pregnancy. my day to day is pretty normal nothing special, nothing new, i just want some sort of confirmation before i put myself into it. it's so hard sometimes but i cant find myself getting excited about this pregnancy at all and that's the hardest thing. |

| Hi Samo,
Long time no hellos as I don't travel far from the ttc boards to be honest.
Anyway came across this and thought, awe yes that sounds like a little movement from your baby beanie. I have not read your history so don't know anything about why you haven't heard a heartbeat yet etc., but wonder if it would be an option for you to hire or buy a doppler detector for home use so you can listen in to your own baby's heartbeat when it is detectable. Something like this: http://www.parenttime.com/babyarticl...aldoppler.html
As for not having a bump, I reckon that will be because you are so slim and your little bean is probably going to be similar in being slight. You don't want a giant bean anyway, so I think you should be happy. Also, a friend of mine actually found out she was pregnant when she was 20 weeks and wasn't showing at all at that time. She has a wonderful son AND daughter now and has stayed lovely and neat for both of her pregnancies. I reckon you are just one of those lucky ladies with a lovely figure pregnant or not.
Hope you get to feel a bit more movement soon and of course enjoy hearing the heartbeat. Baby is in there all right, playing hard to get. |
