I'm Currently Feeling: | ultrasound each visit?? I heard from my BIL gf today and my friend that they got a scan almost every doc visit!!! This makes me so upset, as I only get two! One when I was 8 weeks and another when I am 22 weeks!!! Does this depend on your insurance or the clinics in the US???
I want to see my LO, just to make sure everything looks fine |

I'm Currently Feeling: | depends on your doctor, how busy they are and if the doctor has their own machine.
Ive had 3 so far, my doctor shares her office with 3 OBGYNs so I dont get a scan every visit. But we get to use the doppler and listen every time. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am going to ask my doc next visit which is in 2 weeks. The clinic I go two has two offices and the one I don't go to has most the ultrasound machines ~however, they had one as they gave me an internal there...but that might be their only machine. I don't see why they don't offer it more...don't they want to see that everything looks good?? no harm in asking huh? They have fun scans that they do one Saturday a month for $125, but recommend doing it later on. My 22 week scan will be late August, early Sept.
My BIL gf doesn't make any money and the state paid for all her medical bills...just doesn't make sense why I pay all this $$$ for insurance and she pays nothing and gets more examination. She had no history or previous problems. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | im in the US and i am guaranteed NO ultrasounds unless they deem it medically necessary... it sucks to secretly wish 'something is wrong' just to get an ultrasound *sigh*. i have not had one yet and if i do, i MIGHT get one at 20 weeks...if they feel everything is going ok though...ill go full term never having one.
im sure insurance and hospital has something to do with it. you can always get private scans straight out of pocket. |

| I have one at every appointment though I'm high risk, though I think they are only doing them until baby is kicking strong, not 100% sure on that bit! | | | | Status: Offline
