Our nursery was already decorate dlilac, from the previous owners. It's as good as new though, so keeping it like that. If it's a girl, we're ok, if it;s a boy, I'll just put some more masculine curtains up and change the lightshade and border.
If I was starting from scratch though, I'd paint it a light cream, wait until baby arrived, then put up an approriate border and light shade. It' so easy to accessorise and drastically change the look of a room.
Good luck, can't wait to see what you do!!!

I'll be moving house before bubs arrives, as my current flat is tied to my job, and not suitable to live in with a young baby. However I don't know where yet, as have to wait for work (local council) to find me somewhere. So haven't even got a clue what bubs room even looks like yet, which is very frustrating, as I'd love to get going on decorating.
Although bubs will be in my room for a while, still want to get his/hers room decorated and ready. Have bought some nuetral crib bedding for when they're in with me- 1 cream/beige set from Mothercare, and 1 white broderie anglais set. Think I want to do the actual nursery in mainly yellow, but with lots of primary coloured accesories, nice and bright. I'd like to do this whether bubs is a boy or a girl.
xx

WE are doing ours in the teddy's wash day from Mothercare, we wanted a neutral room before we found out the sex so we are going for browns and creams. OH is quite arty and wants to add his own touch so we are putting some shelves up and he is painting some teddys on the wall as though they are sat on the shelf.
