You little @#%#^$!!!

My cousin who is 6yrs old is driving me inSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has been doing the following for some time now and I just couldnt handle it anymore and I told his mother and she slapped him.

When he runs, he just passes infront of my bump and he kinda pushes it. The push isnt strong, but of course, who knows how strong can it become. When he sits next to me, he also pretends to slap my bump, but he does it kindda slow and without me knowing he will do it.

I CANT STAND HIM ANYMORE! I started to shout at him and I was happy his mom slapped him.

Ok, rant over.

My friends little boy is 5 soon 2 b 6 and in the early stages he kept jumping on me like he use 2 b4 i was pregnant. so i told him that he couldnt do that for a while cos there is a baby in my tummy... just like mum had with your sister. he seemed 2 understand. but he carried on i told him 2 b careful, his nan shouted and him and yet he still carried on in the end his mum slapped him and shouted.. I think he could of missed out that slap if he didnt get carried away and think it was funny

Sounds like the kids are wanting your attention. They probably understand that there is a baby growing inside and maybe a little jealous. But it is neccessary to protect you bump at all cost. My 2 year old niece doesnt completely understand that she can't crawl all over me right now..but I try to pay extra attention in other ways. My nephew who is nearly 4 is very sensitive and seems to understand. He just hopes that the baby will share "his" dinkies when he comes.

Ahh I don't mean to sound harsh or anything but I don't believe you should ever hit a child. They're children! Children will do what children will do, maybe putting him on a time-out or taking away priveledges would be MUCH better than slapping him. I believe it's actually illegal here to lay your hands on a child, regardless of what they do.

What a little bugger!! I feel the way about my friends brother. He's 10, and no he doesn't poke my belly(not that I have one yet and he doesn't know I'm pregnant) but he screams and cries like a baby........It makes me go INSANE. I don't believe in hitting, but OH MY GOSH.....and this little kid will whine if you give him the wrong food too.....I'm like think of the people who have nothing.......and all he says is, WELL THATS NOT ME!

I swear I want to knock his lights out!! But I don't I scream at him, kinda. Then storm outside to cool down. THEN, let his mama take care of him, wuahahaha.

But it sounds like you have it bad.....Idk when a bump into the belly becomes bad, but I guess if it hurts thats a sign. Tell his mother to make sure she disciplines him should he continue to do that.......That would drive me up the wall!!

I agree, I think there are other ways. No matter how annoying it can be, being a brat or now he's only 6 years old. He couldn't possibly understand

I agree... He is a 6 year old boy. Rather than slapping him for something he doesnt even know he is doing wrong, maybe sit him down and try to explain what he is doing wrong. You have to have patents with kids.

I am the opposite I believe sometimes a child needs a smack, not a thump or a punch but a light smack to make them see there is only so far you can go. Some kids dont know when to stop, my 10 year old has had a smack when he needs it and when Dec gets older if he needs it he will get it to. This crap that (no offence) that it is illegal to put your hand on a child, dont think so that is my child and I know him best.
My friend was against smacking and she used to tell me off for doing it but things soon changed when she had here own, and smacks where given when needed.
