I'm Currently Feeling: | Pregnant Lady Taxi*****RANT***** So last night i had a works party, just a house party nothing special, a regular event as its nearly the end of term, i agreed to drive and pick up the girls in our office, 3 others who live in different areas but i didnt mind as its not something we do all time, and then i drove us to this house party. My DH just cannot stay in when i;m not there so had arranged to meet a friend at the pub just for a couple, at which point i said well make sure it is a couple blah blah coz i know what hes like and we're out sat night ( i driving again) and sunday lunch with rellys anda boozy cricket match sunday afternoon. He said yeah yeah, could i pick him up when i dropped girls off. So that was that.
my do finshed about 10.30 by the time i'd dropped everyone off and got to pub it was about 11.15 and chris had text me saying he was ready and would i hurry up. So i told him i 5 mins away and he tyexts asking if i'll take some other people home who he knows that were in pub who dont live on our way home. I text back saying no, as i'm knackered and just wanna go home and already done loads pf driving round tonight. i stroll in pub and hes ordered another pint, typical so i sit and wait and chat. about half 12 i say lets go i well poooped by now so we go and everyone follows us out, i get in car and pull out space, DH walks over to my side with 2 others going come on give em a lift, cant you take em home, going on and on. I'm furious, a, coz i'm tired and b, coz i've already said no to chris and annoyed that hes offered.
Anyway i lose it and say to DH either he comes with me or he walks home. I furious with him on way home and he sleeps in spare bed.
I'm annoyed that after i'd told him no that even if the others had asked him again he didnt back me up and say look, my wife has said no, sorry you should have booked a taxi, its friday shes pregnant and probably knackered. Instead hes part of the ones nagging me for a lift. He never even gave me a thought.
This probably all sounds unreasonable of me but i'm sick of DH not being able to go out without getting shitted(he was rough this morning) and being taken for granted as the driver all the time.
Grrrrrrr |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Not unreasonable at all! I find driving a bit uncomfortable, especially when I need to do lots of gear changes in town driving. If I'd said no about the lift to my DH I'd expect him to accept it. MY DH doesn't drive at all so I have to do all the driving anyway but he'd not ask me to go picking him up from places, I rarely do anyway and not at all now I'm pregnant. He's also not drinking now I'm pregnant too! |

| it's not unreasonable at all hun, you'd already been kind enough to help the others out that day, and if you were tired you were tired, it's that simple really, he should have stood by you. *big hug* <3 | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | You're not being unreasonable at all hun. I've been treated as a taxi service many times, and it's annoying even when you're not pregnant and knackered.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Good job for holding your ground! I had a work function a few weeks ago and ended up being the taxi, one of my 'friends' pretty much offered my services as a taxi since i'm pregnant and can't drink. Yay. I didn't mid dropping ppl home so much since I knew them and they're my friends but it annoyed me that my 'friend' didn't even ask me. Grr...
I'm glad ur OH slept on the spare bed, he definately deserved it. Stuff waiting around for an hour just for him to finish his drink, tell him to sod off. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Totally not unreasonable. I'd be upset even if I wasn't pregnant and my partner got on the "come on" train with his mates over getting a lift. Thats just not fair!
He owes you hugs and apologies and to behave better in the future. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I agree hun
it was unreasonable of him to put you on the spot in front of his mates!
Good on you - for not backing down!
Most men shouldn't even be allowed to drink alcohol coz it turns them into idiots!
Hope he is doing some serious sucking up to you today? xx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Gawd i do love being a taxi driver I end up going to parties and taking other people home and coming back again
Not unreasonable just make sure he knows you're going to get pay back once you're not pregnant!! Also i would have also been furious when you'd already said no to him |
