| Hey there! New girl from Canada joining in!
Hunger was one of the first signs of pregnancy for me. At about 5 or 6 days pregnant, I was ravenous. I ate lots all day, and I actually had to get out of bed at 11:30pm because my stomach was growling so much I couldn't sleep! I started to get just a little suspicious about then...
The hunger really comes and goes in waves for me. It did throughout my first trimester and still does now.
What drives me crazy right now is that I think I've packed a huge lunch for work, but I'm always ravenous again way sooner than I think I will be. So I keep needing to go on snack runs and then all my co-workers are in hysterics because I come back with armloads of food (all of it weird and cravings-based, of course). The miracle is that I am still in the healthy weight gain category. My metabolism must be on fire these days. | | | | Status: Online

I'm Currently Feeling: | It comes and goes with me. I couldn't eat at all during the 1st tri.. I survived on ice-pops and smoothies. Then when my morning sickness went at about week 14 I made up for all the weeks of not eating These last 2 weeks or so though i've been eating on and off. I've been either starving all the time or can't face food at all... goes from one extreme to the other. |

| Yeah, that's the other really odd side of the appetite thing - the weird food aversions. They make no sense at all.
No matter how it's prepared, I cannot take a bite of chicken without gagging. Chicken?!! Why that? No particularly strong smell or taste, no weird texture. No problems with it before the pregnancy. And it's such a good source of protein. But I just can't do it.
Progesterone is a strange strange chemical. | | | | Status: Online
