About ghosts... I think this is really silly, but when I get up in the middle of the night to go downstairs and use the pot I am really getting afraid that I will see a ghost.

Ive always had a vivd imagination... A few weeks ago at work I had to sit with a patient on palliative care because his family wouldnt stay with him It was sad and he was a patient I had been caring for for several months. He died within 20 mins of me being there, I felt bad but I guess he just needed someone.

Now I am even more paranoid. I have crappy night vision so every time I think I see something im freaked that its ghosts! LOL

Am I the only paranoid one here? haha, im not worried, I think its kind of funny, but its weird too.

I'm kind of scared of the prospect of ghosts. Even friendly ones! As a teenager I was half convinced I would conjure up a poltergeist!

I'm not scared of "ghosts" but I HATE getting up in the middle of the night to pee because I have to walk past french doors to get to the washroom, and you can see out our main door onto the bridge...and I'm scared to death there is going to be someone standing in front of the door lol

Hmmm im not so scared of ghosts, but im dead afraid of any noise thats made cos i think that someone might come and murder me Its kinda sad but totally petrifies me every night soooo.. i listen to story tapes *cough Harry Potter

I've been like that since I was little - I think some people are more sensitive to such things and I've been freaked out a few times even though I don't really believe in ghosts in the usual way. I've sort of trained myself to try to get over it though. It takes a while but I just close my mind to them, if that makes sense.

When I was younger, I noticed that the more I thought about it all, the worse it got and the more I would have strange experiences. So one day I just thought 'enough of this!' and was very disciplined about changing the thoughts when they came into my mind.
It doesn't mean I don't feel anything, but I feel a thousand times more peaceful. Sometimes I feel 'something' and whereas in the past my mind would start wondering if it was a ghost or what and I would get freaked out, I just sort of take no notice. It's a bit like knowing there are birds and squirrels in the trees that I walk past. I just mind my own business and figure they will mind theirs (the ghosts, like the birds and squirrels do).

Not freaked by ghosts, but when I have to get up at night and all the lights are off, I get so convinced that someone has broken in while I'm sleeping and is just waiting for me to walk by unawares... Yeah. I still have fear of the dark sometimes.

I know what u mean, a patient i was caring for was dying and it really was just the waiting game! I was in there giving him some oxygen and he kept pointing to the corner of the room saying there, a light! Freaked the shit out of me..... he died that night!
