Bump measurments

Hello everyone

I had a midwife appointment today and on Friday I will be 26 weeks. My midwife measured my bump and i am measuring 28 weeks. Should i be worried and does this mean my baby will be BIG!?

Anyone else measuring bigger than they should be?

im not measuring bigger but thought I would answer you question about your baby!!!

My friend was measuring 3 weeks ahead... then went on target... then was measuring 3 again!! Her baby was born 11 days early.. and a healthy 7lb 9oz!!

I wouldnt worry yourself to much I think +/- 3 weeks is normal... and he may just have had a growth spurt

MW will refer you if she grows concerned!!

From what I've read by other people - it's perfectly normal to measure up or down 2 weeks.

hi there, hope you dont mind me joining this thread, have only just joined the forum. i had my measurements done last week and i was showing at 26.4 weeks rather than 25, so i think its prob normal. i have looked bigger than what i should for weeks and have done in all my previous pregnancies. my girls weighed 6 1/2 lb, 8 lb and 7 lb....

Thanks. My midwife got me worried abit. She asked how much i weighted when i was born and i told her 7lb 10 and she said "oh". I got the impression she was trying to say that if i had been a big baby my baby would be also.....she was not that nice to be honest

I had an ultrasound at 14.5 weeks, and they said bubs was measuring more like 17. I tend not to worry about it too much- I've measured big in previous pregnancies too. The guidelines are just averages, and every baby grows at a different rate!

I was measuring big at my 19 week appointment and then when i went back the other day for my 24 week appointment the doctor said i was measuring fine so i think they just have a little growth spurts. I wouldn't worry to much at the moment.
