I'm Currently Feeling: | New threads! Hey all, sorry for having been awol again. I'm currently ploughing through the threads but thought I'd say hi and let you know some of my news.
I had my best pal come to stay over the weekend so had a really nice, though exhausting time. She came bearing gifts and I was pretty astonished to find she had bought me a whole wardrobe of maternity clothes off ebay. All in good nik and all fitting perfectly. I don't think I owned so many normal clothes and certainly had no intention of buying many maternity ones. I think she spent about £60 on two bundles and there's plenty there to see me right through. What an ace friend!
I've not been too well though. Nausea is still rearing its ugly head and my back, pelvi and hips are aching like nobody's business! Yesterday I had this really weird oversensitivity of skin in a patch on my lower pack and in my pubic hair, both on the right side. I became anxious it could be the start of shingles and so was called into the emergency doctors in the evening. Bloody useless they were though! Last night I slept on my left instead of my usual right and found it had eased a lot and instead of aching lots on the right today I ache lots on the left. It's clear that whatever side I lie on is going to leave me achey and possibly with trapped nerves! Bah!
To add insult to injury, we're in the throes of a dispute with our neighbour that's been going on for months. I won't go into it but it's over a right of way she has over our garden. It's just been a total farce and we received a solicitor's letter yesterday with the most petty threats of replacing our nice new picket fence that she has three times said she had no objection to, with old garage doors! It's incredible the shit that solicitors are allowed to say. The man hasn't even read the deed nor our correspondence because most of his letters have had huge legal inaccuracies. We, on the other hand, have been ion huge discussion with our house insurance company for months about this and they have gone through the info with a fine toothed comb and advised us every step of the way so we know we are on safe ground. She's just a petty cow. I highly recommend paying the bit extra for legal cover on your house insurance though as it's saved us about a grand of solicitor's fees!
I was so stressed about it all yesterday I was just crying away and I know this is not good for my baby! Trying not to be and went to aquanatal this morning in the hope it would relax me a bit. And I feel ok now, so I guess it did! Helps that I got some proper sleep too and that the mulling over time allowed me to compose a good letter to the bitch next door.
Well, that's my news! Hope you lovelies are all happy and well! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Aww, what a lovely friend you have there. Sorry to hear about your bitch of a neighbour, but try not to let her get to you too much. Try and take your mind off things somehow, maybe by trying on all of your lovely new maternity clothes? lol

I'm Currently Feeling: | OOooo you lucky bugger, what a fab friend.
Your neighbor sounds like a bit of a loony to me.
As for your aches and pains; have you tried sleeping on your head? Oh, No, that wouldn't work either you'd wake up with a headache instead!
Have you tried propping yourself up with pillows. I heard someone extolling the benefits of the 'PregnancyPillow' yesterday, that might help. |
