She sounds like a very stuck in her ways old woman, who sadly really does believe what she said to you. Bully for her I say.

You're the stronger one for walking away, and not have the cat fight in the middle of the store. I think you did exactly the right thing, and probably left her quite deflated that she hadn't gotten a bigger response.

I think that the partnership you have going on with Nathan sounds incredible !! It's really great to see that you both have Lolas best interests at heart. She is one very lucky little girl who will grow up with a 'real' sense of life and who she is. That's something any parent can be proud of, but even more so when you've experienced what you have up til now.

So luckily, we can all phase out that way of thinking, as it is totally unrealistic, and unfair to both the parents and the child to be forced into living a lie.

In short :

IGNORE THE STUPID OLD BAT. SHE AIN'T GOT A CLUE, AND YOU'RE ALREADY A FAB MUM !!!!!

FFS! I can't believe these people.

Old people should be censored I think. Some of them say such hurtful things without a seconds thought. It's such a shame that some narrow minded old bat should have spoilt your day honey and I'm sorry for you.
