I'm Currently Feeling: | my dad's a very traditional kinda guy and he said to my OH that he doesnt think we should get married just cos we're havin a baby. he said 30 years ago then maybe, but not now |

My and my partner aren't married and don't want to be married for a while... but we will still be strong parents and a strong team, it doesn't mean we deserve a baby any less than a married couple.

Some old people have this old fashioned view on single parenting because they were brought up in a time when it was frowned on. However, it is very, very rude of her to impose her views on others - especially when she doesn't know anything about you at all.
I wouldn't worry about it Amy, you are going to make a wonderful mother, you are so caring. As for the lady - people like her, you will never change her views, so just put her comment out of your mind.
